NSelf-taught, Magnani actively took part in the Resistance, becoming a partisan, during the Second Word War. From 1950 he was secretary of the Federbraccianti GIL Nazionale in Rome.
Otello Magnani showed great social and civil engagement in his life, great politic and human skills and he was also a decorator and very intense painter, a great first inspiration for his nephew Alberto Sughi.
