Venezia, 1605 - Padova, 1679
The artist was probably apprenticed to the Padovanino and was in touch with Fetti, Strozzi and the Bolognese school, thanks to whom, he enhanced the neo-fifteenth century art in the Veneto region. Forabosco lived exclusively in Venice, where he is registered in the order of Venetian painters, the Fraglia, from 1634 to 1639. His only moves, documented, at least, concern the town of Padua, where he opened a studio for a year, it was 1653, and where he died in 1679.
His canvas of Suicidio di Sofonisba or Artemisia beve le ceneri del marito Mausolo
is contained in the Gallery.
