LObes Gazza's formative years take place with Alberto Sughi, who he will abandon later on due to their diverse characters.
However, Sughi's influence can be seen in the sensitivity of matter and the ability to spread the colours in soft backgrounds, thanks to quick strokes, as the rendering of the snow in this paintings suggests.
The work is dated on the rear of the painting 1954 and anticipated the poetic esistentialism that will follow.
