Madonna in trono con il Bambino

Master from Castrocaro (First half of the 15th century) - Fresco; cm 82 x 72

Madonna in trono con il Bambino

Documented in the 15th century, the painting discovered in 1871, came from a cloister, but it is difficult to know the collocation of all the subjects of the image, because there are a lot of fragments. There are the Virgin and the Child who is going to take the pear (symbolising the sacrifice of Jasus) but his look is elsewhere.
