Eugenio Amadori

Cesena, 1922

Self-taught, he won a painting competition for young romagnoli painters at the early age of sixteen. He studied violin at the conservatory "Ist. Mus. Corelli" in Cesena, followed by those in Pesaro and Bologna, where he got his diploma in 1947.

He undertook a career as a violin-player, and was a member of the orchestra at the Communal Theatre in Bologna from 1956 . He organised many exhibitions as a painter. His favourite themes were landscapes and portraits, in fact he distinguished himself in the Catter, thanks to his skill in capurturing the moods and emotions of his sitters. His greatest of inspiration was his mother who he painted numerous times.

He also devoted his energies to clay charicatures, many of which, sketched durind concerts, depict musicians and orchestra directors.
