Paolo Grilli

Cesena, 1857 - Roma 1952

The artist, an important figure in Cesena, at the end of 19th and beginning of 20th centuries, carried his studies, starting out in 1880, at the Art Accademies in Florence and Rome.

On his return to Cesena, his birthplace, he devote himself assiduously to painting and sculpture, showing great interest in portrait painting declined in naturalistic style.

Grilli, the sculptor produced numerous statues, busts and medallions for both public and private commissions, many of which for the cemetery in Cesena.
