Faenza, 1539 - 1614
Apprenticed in the studio that belonged to Iacopone, his uncle, he moved to Rome, from 1560 to 1564, with his relation, to take part in the important task of decorating the Vatican Loggias.
On his return to Faenza, he continued collaborating with his uncle until the latter's death, when Bertucci finally opened his own studio. Even after his return from Rome, the artist re-proposed the late mannered style without any substantial innovations.
The Deposizione di Cristo hangs in the Gallery.
