The painter's date of birth, as that of his death are unknown, his presence is documented in Imola from 1517 to 1536, with activity also in Ravenna and Cesena.
The obvious influences of Raffaello, in the art of Innocenzo da Imola, as well as Tuscan influences can be clearly seen in his works, inspired perhaps by direct experience, thanks to a period of stay there.
