The painting which comes from the Chapel of the Abbey of Santa Maria del Monte belongs to Cesena's Municipal Art Gallery. Dated 1530 it was carried out by Gaspare Sacchi, as we can see from the inscription GASPAR SACCVS IMOLENSIS PINGEBAT
situated in the centre of the painting.
The scene is represented inside an architectonic structure which divides the characters in the foreground from the landscape where Mount Calvary and where the Noli me tangere
and Christ's Resurrection
are represented.
