Osvaldo Piraccini (Cesena, 1931)
- acrylic on canvas; cm 50 x 60
The painting depicts a Cesena view carried out in 1990 and donated to the Curc Gallery by the artist himmself. The subject is represented with a synthetic technique, thanks to the body of the colour applied with a spatola in rapid movements.
The basilica is seen in the centre of the painting immersed in the nature. The use of colour is scanty: shades are rather dull, whites in the cloudy sky above and the greens of the cover part of the painting.
