Marcello Avenali (Roma, 1912 - 1981)
- tempera on paper; cm 68 x 48
The painting is signed in the bottom left part of the picture and is one of the examples of the artist's affection for the abstract current.
Avenali experiments a new figurative language in this work, bare and dramatic: he superimposes coloured forms in clear-cut and contrasting tones, on superimposed levels, in order to obtain refractional effects in the light.
