San Vincenzo Ferreri risuscita un annegato

The sketch, painted for the church in Montiano, is now situated in the Municipal Art Gallery thanks to Costantino Guidi's donation and represents a moment in the life of Saint Vincent Ferreri.

The Dominican Friar is represented in the middle of the painting while he is reviving a drowned person who is lying on a wall to the left of the picture.

In the scene there are also some people who are watching the miracle in great astonishment, even if their expressions aren't well defined because the canvas is only a preparatory sketch.

Probably, the scene takes place in Lisbon, which can be infered from the architectural structures in the landscape.
