Cesena, known from 1802 to 1813
Because of his premature death, little is known of Vincenzo Baldacci. Considering his inclinations for painting and an appreciable technical ability, the Cesena Municipal Authority sponsored a stay in Rome in order to allow him to study at the Accademia di San Luca.
It is in that ambience that he came into contact with the neo-classic style of Vincenzo Camuccini and Felice Giani, as can be seen by the works on show in the Art Gallery:Funerali di Ettore
, portrait of Napoleone Bonaparte
and Filottete morente
.
